I make sure each student has a few that are appropriate for them, but really what’s IN the task box isn’t as important as how we go about teaching the routine and system itself. I love seeing all of the beautiful classrooms shar I love seeing all of the beautiful classrooms shared on social media and I know how much time and effort goes into getting a classroom ready for students 🫶🏼 But this is your reminder that it’s ok if your classroom doesn’t have a beautifully curated theme. I used to spend so much time and money coordinating my entire room to a “theme” (taking it all the way back to chevron and owls 🫣🤣), but I’ve realized ‘less is more’ is a better approach for our classroom. Displaying visuals and communication supports is essential for our classroom and combining the two just ends up feeling chaotic and a bit too much. As teachers, we want to enjoy the room we spend so much time in, but it’s important for us to prioritize “decor” that meets the every day needs of our kids.
