Comment “SHOP” to see if they’re in stock at your store! Use them for a fun breakfast with your own kids or a special get together with your team before the day starts.
I get it. The thought of implementing a task box s I get it. The thought of implementing a task box system while students are still emerging in handling materials safely and building their independence.

But what if we shift our mindset?! We pour so much time into teaching routines like unpacking in the morning, getting ready for lunch, packing up at the end of the day…so let’s pour the same intention into teaching our students HOW to be independent.

My favorite tips with any task box system are:
1. Start small-you don’t need 20 task boxes. Start with 3…or 6, whatever is manageable.
2. If your students are still emerging with independent tasks, start with something errorless! Whether it’s errorless task cards, put-in tasks…build their confidence…and yours 😉
3. Have visuals and a system from day 1 so you can TEACH your students and staff how to use it. It doesn’t have to be perfect, but if the goal is independence, organization is key.
4. Differentiate, just like everything else we do! Students have different skills, different levels of safety…and that’s ok! I like to “level” my task boxes so that each student has a few that are appropriate for them.

I promise you…at the start of the year, you may have your doubts. Will this ever feel less chaotic? Am I picking the right tasks? How in the world will I do this without more para support? But if you take the time to plan and teach the system, you’ll see progress as the year goes on.

I use them to store centers activities, organize student locker items, organize daily lesson plan materials, and so much more.

Comment ‘BAGS’ and I’ll send you the link to the pack that has them for 50 cents each! ✨
